Founded in 1776, the very year our country declared its independence, Washington County is laced with parks, monuments, and museums that tell America's story spanning three centuries. Its thriving hub city, Hagerstown, founded in 1762, reaches into the future offering residents and visitors the latest services, shopping, and entertainment. Hagerstown is located at the intersection of two major interstates, I-81 and I-70. Located one hour west of Baltimore and Washington DC, Hagerstown offers close proximity to metro, yet it is situated in a very scenic valley surrounded by mountains and rolling farmland.
